Vintage Sewing Desk
by Rebecca on September 16th, 2015
I've got a new furniture makeover for you! This one is near and dear to my heart for the sole reason that it's an old SEWING table! I actually sew on one very similar to this. It's also painted the exact same color :)
Thanks to a tip from my friend Jenna, I picked up this desk at a rummage sale. If you need a compact car, but like to haul furniture, look at how awesome my Honda Fit can handle this load! Seats completely flatten down. Love it. Ivy's stoked we have room for her scores too.
This piece was far from perfect, which is awesome. There were nicks and scrapes, and rather than fight the sander to get them out, I chose an antiquing wax to accents the imperfections.
The top opens up to accommodate a sewing machine and all the left side opens to a neat compartment for all your sewing accessories. The (original) knobs/drawers on the front are non-functional.
This piece measures 21" deep x 33" wide x 31.5" tall. It's FOR SALE for $200. Kauai pick up only. Send me an email if you're interested!
Thanks for visiting Ivy & Co.
